Noises Off Tour from 27 March 2013
Hailed as one of the greatest British comedies ever written, Michael Frayn’s multi-award-winning backstage farce serves up a riotous double bill – a play within a play. Hurtling along at breakneck speed it follows the backstage antics of a touring theatre company as they stumble their way through rehearsals in Weston-super-Mare, to a shambolic Wednesday matinee in Ashton under-Lyne, and a final disastrous performance in Stockton-on-Tees.
Cast includes Neil Pearson (TV and Film credits include Monroe, Between the Lines, Drop the Dead Donkey and Bridget Jones’ Diary); Maureen Beattie (TV credits include Lewis, The Bill, Taggart, Casualty); David Bark-Jones, Simon Bubb, Danielle Flett, Geoffrey Freshwater, Chris Larkin, Thomasin Rand and Sasha Waddell.
Directed by Olivier award-winner Lindsay Posner whose West End credits include Abigail’s Party, A View from the Bridge, Butley and Carousel.
Multi-award-winning author and playwright Michael Frayn’s plays include Afterlife, Democracy, Copenhagen and Donkeys’ Years.
