In February 2010, The Old Vic acquired this new performance space beneath Waterloo Station, home to a number of innovative and exciting Theatre and Arts events throughout 2010.
The Old Vic Tunnels opened as 'The Lambeth Palace', a specially built underground cinema which screened the UK premier of Banksy's film Exit through the Gift Shop. This was followed by the first major theatre production in the space - Ditch, by Beth Steel.
Recent productions have included Aftermath, part of the LIFT Festival, a three day Improvisation festival called Slapdash and Alan Moore, the comic genius behind V for Vendetta, League of Extraordinary Gentleman and The Watchmen, read his new short story 'Unearthing'.
