Deputy Head of Stage

We are looking for a Deputy Head of Stage who will have active involvement in the setting up of shows, fit-ups, dress rehearsals, technical rehearsals, get-outs and events. They will play a key role in the running of the stage and carpentry departments ensuring a high standard of support for the creative teams during the production process. They will also supervise and manage teams and deputise for the Head of Stage when required, prioritising work and managing delivery of requirements in line with Health & Safety legislation.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a Stage department in a similar sized organisation. They will be highly skilled, an excellent problem solver and innovative thinker with a keen eye of detail. They will be comfortable in working with budgets, have good IT literacy, preferably with experience of Auto CAD, and be up-to-speed on relevant health and safety and technical requirements, with ideally at least a Level 2 qualification in bench joinery or welding.

Salary: BECTU rate (with additional 8 hours overtime/week buy-out).

Total £41,181 p/a
