- Pride 2021
Originally commissioned in 2017, Queers commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act from the perspective of those whose lives it affected with a poignant, funny, tragic and riotous celebration. To mark this year’s Pride Month, two new commissions with stories from the wider LGBTQ+ community will be premiered as part of Your Old Vic, available exclusively on The Old Vic’s YouTube channel from 30 Jun.
Queers is curated by Mark Gatiss. The original monologues were produced in partnership with the BBC and will be re-released on BBC iPlayer from 02 Jun.FIND OUT MORE
- Stonewall Day
- Windrush Day
The Old Vic would like to celebrate everyone who is part of the Windrush generation and everything they have sacrificed and contributed to British society. Please see below some resources and links to help us celebrate and reflect on Windrush Day 2021.
You can join in with Lambeth at 10:27 to sing ‘You Can Get It If You Really Want’ by Jimmy Cliff too. Why 10:27? To pay tribute to the 1027 passenger aboard HMT Empire Windrush.
