Creative Careers in Theatre

With The Old Vic 12 (2020-2021)

When you’re thinking about a career in the theatre industry it can feel quite daunting. There are many roles to choose from, and perhaps you’re not quite sure what a particular role entails, or you know what you want to do but you’re not sure how to get started.

Aimed at 15 to 21 year olds, or anyone who wants to find out more about the different creative roles in theatre, these videos have been created by some of the members of our current Old Vic 12 group, sharing their knowledge and experience, including top tips and answering questions about how they got started in their careers.

All you need is something to make notes with if you’d like to, and you can watch the videos in your own time and at your own pace.

The Old Vic’s Principal Partner Royal Bank of Canada have enhanced their support to become Principal Partner of The Old Vic’s Emerging Talent Programme, enabling The Old Vic 12, the Baylis Director and Baylis Assistant Director programmes, and the Connect Network. As Principal Partner, RBC is helping to sustain the lifeblood of the creative industries when it is needed most, and we are indebted to their generosity and vision.
