12 Choirs of Christmas

‘What a great place to bring two generations together at Christmas time’ Community Choir Member

We’re teaming up primary school choirs and over 60s community groups to create 12 intergenerational choirs to perform carol concerts in the foyer of The Old Vic throughout December. These choirs are free to join.

In November, each choir will work with a musical director for two rehearsals. They will pick a selection of carols and festive songs to learn before performing live to an audience in The Old Vic’s foyer.

Teachers and Group Leaders will have the opportunity to attend an additional musical training session to support their professional development.

Thu 17 Oct, 5pm–7pm: Teachers and Community Leaders Meet and Greet evening
Fri 18 Oct–Dec: two rehearsals at a mutually convenient time and location
Mon 02 Dec–Tue 17 Dec: morning concerts from 11am
