London Calling
Hi its me. I know were not meant to be talking right now, but
Today we launch London Calling, a collaboration between The Old Vic Community Company and Flying Object to create a technology-led interactive experience in response to The Old Vic Community Companys 2016 play, Rise.
London Calling can be experienced at phone-booths around The Old Vic or on your own mobile at londoncalling.oldvictheatre.com.
On answering the phone, you will discover a voicemail message left by a Londoner to someone in their life. The intriguing but anonymous voicemails include messages of unrequited love, gratitude, regret and confession.
You can experience London Calling between 9-21 August, 10am until 9.15pm at Waterloo Millennium Green, opposite the theatre, and in the Penny cafe. You can also sign-up to hear the messages on your own phone for free here.
London Calling was created by Flying Object, collaborating with Reduced Listening (audio), Marmelo (technical development) and Mill & Jones (phone-booth design / build).
