The Old Vic Young Digital Creators
Are you a budding vlogger? We’d love to see what you can do – share your work with us and you could be in with the chance of meeting the cast and creatives in The Divide to help with your next vlog.
The successful applicant will be invited to make their own short film, blog or vlog on The Divide, with access to rehearsals, cast and creatives, which will be promoted across The Old Vic’s social media channels as part of the overall marketing campaign. They will receive guidance and support from The Old Vic’s in-house Digital Content and Broadcast Manager, Social Media and Communications Manager and Marketing Manager as well as complimentary tickets to The Divide press night on Wed 7 Feb 2018, where their work will be on display before and after the performance.
How to enter
We don’t want to limit creativity, which is why we’re simply asking you to respond to an excerpt from the show in a way that reflects your style as a digital creator:
Remember, leadership comes with a responsibility to the weak, namely Women and young Children, who are in need of Men’s protection and guidance. Thus in His Wisdom has The Preacher created The Divide, South of which Women and their children would be safe.
Your submission could be a filmed interview, a short film, a vlog; it could discuss the themes, explore Alan Ayckbourn’s work as a writer or create a visual response; we want to see your own unique response to The Divide.
Submissions should be no longer than 60 seconds.
Deadline for submissions: Fri 12 Jan, 12pm
- Entrants must be aged between 18 and 25
- Any people featured in your submission must be over 18 and have provided you with consent to appear in your work
- You must be able to get yourself to The Old Vic in London for both a rehearsal and the press night performance on Wed 7 Feb 2018
