Green Week at The Old Vic

null

When we look ahead to the next 200 years for The Old Vic, we’re not simply focused on what happens inside this iconic building; we want to ensure that we’re safeguarding the planet we’re privileged to call home.

We are already working hard to make sure that we’re as green as we can be across everything from our energy suppliers to our straws, but Green Week offers an extra opportunity to pull together and make Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax proud.

From 19 – 24 March our theatre will be transformed into a hub of green activity, with sustainable bake sales, clothes swaps food collections, desktop plant sessions, bike servicing, a food collection and a weekend turn off. We’ve also come up with ways for you to join in the eco fun by serving meat free specials (including one vegan day) all week in Penny, a  ‘green cocktail’ and an extra incentive for those willing to go that extra mile. We want to see you walking to The Old Vic in honour of Green Week – tag us in a picture of your journey on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using #GreenWeek and our favourite will win two complementary tickets to our upcoming production of Mood Music. And if you need help planning your route, here’s a helpful map that we made earlier.
