Contemporary Artists and The Old Vic

The Old Vic has a long-standing association with British contemporary artists who have generously contributed their work in support of the theatre.

We recently collaborated with Charlotte Colbert, Philip Colbert, Ian Davenport, Antony Gormley, Chris Levine, Conrad Shawcross and Gavin Turk who donated works for auction with the support of Christie’s Auction House. We also worked with acclaimed street artist Nathan Bowen through the sale of 140 of his original works. We hugely appreciate their support.

All profits raised from the sale of these artworks will go towards the next phase of The Old Vic’s ambitious project of transformation – a £12m creative arts hub, adjacent to the theatre, which will open up opportunities for the local community and young people across London.

Our artist collaborations continue with a Limited Edition silk pocket square by celebrated Turner-prize nominated artist Gary Hume, produced in partnership with Huntsman, which you can purchase for £100. Fashioned in 100% silk, the square features Hume’s iconic piece from 1994 This Way. For more information or to purchase a square, please email merchandise@oldvictheatre.com.
