Eve Best returns to The Old Vic in John Websters great Jacobean tragedy, The Duchess of Malfi. This major new production will be directed by Jamie Lloyd.

Websters poetic masterpiece tells the dark and bloody story of the recently widowed Duchess. As jealousy, madness and bloodshed surround her, the Duchess retains her strength and dignity, even in the face of death.

Jamie Lloyds credits include She Stoops to Conquer (National), Inadmissible evidence, Passion and Piaf (Donmar), The Faith Machine and The Pride (Royal Court) and The Little Dog Laughed, Three Days of Rain, The Lover and The Collection in the West End.

Olivier Award winning actress Eve Bests credits include The Old Vics A Moon for the Misbegotten, Much Ado About Nothing (The Globe), Hedda Gabler (Almeida and West End), Mourning becomes Electra (National). TV and Film credits include Wallis Simpson in the Oscar winning film, The Kings Speech and Dr. OHara in the hit American television drama Nurse Jackie.
