Annie-B Parson and Emma Gladstone Q&A

Come and hear Annie-B Parson, co-founder of Big Dance Theater, in conversation with Dance Umbrella Artistic Director Emma Gladstone ahead of the performance of 17c on Fri 28 September. A well-known name in the worlds of both theatre and dance, Annie-B has choreographed for David Byrne, the Royal Ballet, and St Vincent as well as her own company.

17c, conceived and directed by Annie-B Parson (Here Lies Love, Lazarus) runs at The Old Vic from 26 – 29 September, co-directed by Paul Lazar and choreographed by Annie-B Parson and the company. From his infidelities, to his perversions, to his meetings with the King, to his bunions, Samuel Pepys recorded it all in his diary. He had a compulsion to report every minute of his daily life and to examine himself through the pages. 17c splices contemporary dance, spoken word, video and music in this witty, fast-paced and feminist exploration of the tell-all diaries.
