‘The music industry isn’t about healing heartbreak and vulnerability. It’s about selling it.’
With the world premiere of his new play Mood Music at The Old Vic this Spring, writer Joe Penhall joins us in conversation with Clemency Burton-Hill before the performance on Thu 24 May.
Best known for the multi-award winning shows Blue/Orange and Sunny Afternoon, as well as the recent Netflix series Mindhunter, Joe Penhall will be talking about his inspiration for writing Mood Music and bringing it to The Old Vic stage. Clemency Burton-Hill is a broadcaster and the author of Year of Wonder: Classical Music for Every Day.
