Deputy stage manager
One of the key responsibilities for a deputy stage manager is to create the prompt book containing all the cues for the production. To condense the amount of information required, they use a shorthand to indicate the different stage directions an actor might take. Different stage managers will notate this in different ways, but an example of one way to do it can be found below:

You can use the shorthand above to help you do this, or create your own. If you create your own, make sure to create a key in case someone else needs to make sense of your notes at a later date.
These notes are important for when it comes to cueing the show, as sound or light cues might be called on a movement rather than a line of text.
