The Greatest Wealth 2020

In Celebration of the NHS
One Voice: Monologues funded by the TS Eliot Estate

Curated by Lolita Chakrabarti
Directed by Adrian Lester

No society can legitimately call itself civilised if a sick person is denied medical aid because of lack of means.’ Aneurin Bevan

Originally staged in 2018, we are returning to The Greatest Wealth series of monologues curated by Lolita Chakrabarti and directed by Adrian Lester to mark the 70th anniversary of the NHS, as part of Your Old Vic. Spanning each decade since the creation of the NHS, audiences will have the chance to revisit all eight of the existing monologues plus we are delighted to present a brand new commission for 2020 written by Booker Prize winning author Bernardine Evaristo.

First, Do No Harm will be performed by Sharon D Clarke and will be premiered on YouTube at 7pm BST on Sun 05 Jul.
