One Hand Tied Behind Us Archive Performances
Curated by Maxine Peake
Directed by Annabel Bolton
Originally staged in 2018 to mark 100 years since the Representation of the People Act gave the first women in Britain the right to vote, One Hand Tied Behind Us explored key moments in the history of women’s rights in the UK through five newly commissioned monologues.
Watch a selection of them again each day from 01 Mar 2021 as part of a week-long celebration of International Women’s Day 2021.
Each monologue will be available to stream on YouTube as part of our free programme, Your Old Vic.
