Designers will often start their creative process by creating a moodboard. A moodboard is a collection of images that help to communicate a designer’s vision for a piece. There are lots of ways you can do this. If you have access to old magazines or newspapers at home, you could cut out images that connect to your concept and glue them into your notebook or onto a piece of paper or card. Here is an example of what your moodboard could look like:

You could also use a website like Pinterest to collect images that you’ve found online.
Use the information you discovered in the last exercise to inform your choice of images. At this stage it’s okay to work instinctively – there is lots of time to help refine your design concept.
