In September 2025 we opened our first show of a full Season of In The Round performances with Mary Page Marlowe. All our shows in 2026, including Arcadia and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, will be staged in this configuration.

Although In The Round can describe any staging where the audience sits around all sides of the stage, our specific configuration features a circular stage with seats encompassing the full 360-degree circumference.
There are still only a handful of theatres in the UK with fully In The Round staging, the majority of which house around 200–400 audience members. In contrast, The Old Vic’s staging holds almost 900 seats, allowing for more people to enjoy In The Round, without losing out on the immersive experience. We’re so excited to share the next Season of stories in this refreshing and captivating configuration.
