Not just those seeing a show. Walk-ins are welcome but bookings are recommended for pre-show.
Going to see the show?
Your evening doesn’t need to end after the curtain call – present your tickets in Backstage after the show and receive 20% off drinks orders after 9pm.

During dark weeks, Backstage Cafe & Bar will be open 08.30am–4pm
We will be closing at 2pm on Wed 14 Oct and all day on Wed 20 Oct due to private events.

Backstage is located at 131 Waterloo Rd, just behind The Old Vic.
No, Backstage Cafe & Bar is open to the public. Whether you’re coming for a coffee, a meal, or a drink, everyone is welcome.
We do recommend booking a table if you are coming for pre-theatre lunch or dinner to avoid disappointment. However, we do accept walk-ins subject to availability and there’s no need to book if you want to pop in for a drink or food from the counter.
To cancel a table, please call us directly at 020 7960 4102. This helps us free up space for other guests.
We do welcome dogs. Please be mindful of other customers, always keeping your dog on a leash and close to you.
Yes, our facilities are fully accessible. Please let us know in advance if you require any additional assistance.
