Tiny Tims Applications
We are looking for a child aged 9+ (and under 4’6”) to play one of our Tiny Tims in the Salford transfer of A Christmas Carol, which comes to Lowry following nine sell out years at The Old Vic. Please note that this one role will be shared between four children.
In this production, the role of Tiny Tim is played by a disabled child so applicants without a disability will not be considered. Please note that any access requirements will be discussed at the point of submission.
Tiny Tim is nine years old and has the extraordinary power to melt Scrooge’s (and the audience’s) heart.
The following application requirements and instructions are for A Christmas Carol at Lowry. We are also casting for the role of Tiny Tim in the 2026–27 revival at The Old Vic — find out more and apply
Must be available for rehearsals and performances from Mon 26 Oct 2026–Sun 10 Jan 2027 inclusive. It would be preferable if they were to reside within an hour’s commute of Lowry.
Audition workshops will take place across various dates — please apply as soon as possible. Please also share this with anyone who might know suitable children for this exciting project.

Please give us your child’s name, age, height, the name and contact details of a parent or guardian, a recent photograph or headshot of the child, and tell us a little bit about the child and their interests. Please specify at point of application if the child has any access needs that we need to be aware of in order to facilitate an audition — we’ll work with you to put in place any adjustments or support required to help throughout the process.
