Tiny Tims Applications
We are looking for a child aged 9+ (and under 4’6”) to play one of our Tiny Tims in the 2026–27 revival of A Christmas Carol, which returns to The Old Vic for its tenth year. Please note that this one role will be shared between four children.
In this production, the role of Tiny Tim is played by a disabled child so applicants without a disability will not be considered. Please note that any access requirements will be discussed at the point of submission.
Tiny Tim is nine years old and has the extraordinary power to melt Scrooge’s (and the audience’s) heart.
The following application requirements and instructions are for A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic. We are also casting for the role of Tiny Tim in the Salford transfer, which plays at Lowry from 11 Dec 2026–10 Jan 2027 — find out more and apply
Must be available for rehearsals and performances from Mon 12 Oct 2026–Sat 09 Jan 2027 inclusive. It would be preferable if they were to reside within an hour’s commute of The Old Vic.
Audition workshops will take place across various dates — please apply as soon as possible. Please also share this with anyone who might know suitable children for this exciting project.

Please give us your child’s name, age, height, the name and contact details of a parent or guardian, a recent photograph or headshot of the child, and tell us a little bit about the child and their interests. Please specify at point of application if the child has any access needs that we need to be aware of in order to facilitate an audition — we’ll work with you to put in place any adjustments or support required to help throughout the process.
